I'm a commercial interior designer at a large firm in Austin. David is a production manager with a real estate developer. We met while working at another company together in 2008. And when I was let go from that company due to the economic downturn (right after I bought my first house) David and I set off on an amazing journey that started a love for creativity, home design and construction, and occasional late nights with lots of pizza.
We have now settled into our third and final home and do not plan on embarking on the remodel journey again anytime soon. I have a secret love for graphic design and have a little Etsy store where I dabble in a little designing in my free time. David is a true man's man and has a shop with an assortment of tools that I can't name but help turn out some pretty cool stuff. We have two calico cats, Reba and Dolly. Both of our families live in Austin and we are so blessed to be able to share so many important moments with them.
Hammers & Heels chronicles all of our fun projects and mediocre lives. I hope its entertaining at least and somewhat informative.
